Materials: Acrylic, air pump, ballon, Arduino, relay, TFT display
The human body has its own rhythms that represent time without explicitly telling it. The Vital Clock serves to construct a clock that represents human vitals in a visual way and functions as an abstract clock.
The LED mimics the eyes, as human adults blink approximately 12 times per minute, and each blink lasts about 1/3 of a second, LED will blink accordingly. The balloon mimics inhaling and exhaling, associated with the normal breathing rate for an adult at rest, which is 8 to 16 breaths per minute. The TFT display mimics the frequency of yawning, which is much less common compared to blinking and breathing. Humans yawn five to 10 times a day, and with every possible yawn, a circle will be drawn on the screen.
